MACHA'S ACORN NECKLACE

Macha is an important soverign goddess of ancient Ireland. Queen ruler of the Northern Province before and during the days of the Red Branch Warriors, she was the creator or founder of Emain Macha, Armagh.

Her Acorn is an important motiff in Irish mythology. To the Red Branch Warriors it symbolized the heads of their enemies decapitated and hanging from their chariots. To the Druids, it repreesents an intimate connect with Macha and her sacred site. To wear Macha's Acorn is to show that you stand in alignment with the natural world .
