TARA BROOCH

The Brooch of Tara is one of the most famous pieces of jewelry from ancient Ireland, a beautiful early Christian equinoctial ring calculator mistakenly called a "penannular brooch." The original was found in the mid-19th century at Bettystown on the seashore of County Meath and ended up in the hands of a jeweller in Dublin who copied it and exhibited facsimiles at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851.

Our Tara Brooch is the perfect adornment for our Guardian's of the Order of Sacred Tara's mantles. We wear them with pride to show that we are ecologists who stand on the greenside of life and will Defend Our Mother ~ No Compromise!

The brooch is sterling silver.
