Muin Lesson To find the joy during stages of transformation, allow the energy to exhilerate or "quicken" spiritual growth. Also, to know how to celebreate in times of wrath, allowing hatred to be calmed in order to find another path of progress. Muin Glomoury Celebrate the ogham shield and divine its meaning through the healing power of the grape. Muin Druidic Significance The "moo-hn" is the power of Reinforcement, for 'by great violence in the field of battle. Very wrathful the vine'. We are Tribal Keepers of Ancestral Lore The Vine is the Tribe, the Clan, the community. The Ollamhs and Sages are the Tribal Keepers of Ancestral Lore. With the wisdom given to us by Amergin, the assistance afforded us by Arias, the mythos handed down to us by our ancestors, we are able to share with the Tribe in the banqueting hall, lavishly adorned, brightly lit-up, with lively music playing. The luscious grapes of all varieties are passed as fruit and nectar so that each member of our community partakes of the sacred knowledge, which we are able to celebrate in our current age. |

Bean Madb Santa Cruz, CA IF THE OLLAMH SPEAKS, WILL ANYONE LISTEN? by Muin Ollamh, Bean Madb If the Ollamh speaks in the forest, will anyone listen? Who will see only trees? Who will see only dirt? Who will only look to the skies in search of light? And, who will see with their ears? And, who will think that there is no forest at all... only something the Ollamh made up? Here's some of what the Ollamh sees: 1. The reality that all is not black and white... dark and evil... that just as their are so many different people who walk this earth, there are even more other worldly beings. They all wear different personalities. It is the Ollamh who tries to understand them. 2. Why does the Ollamh try to understand all these different creatures? Becauase s/he has an obligation to her/his clan and because it is her/his path, even though the Ollamh knows s/he will be misunderstood. Knows the ancestors, who were once people who walked the earth are capable of light and dark, will be deified... despite the documented mythologies. Despite the fact that we all know there are unfathomable depths of light and dark within this world. 3. Most, if not all, within the clan will not experience even 1/10th of what the Ollamh experiences with regard to these other worldly beings. Even though some will claim to. 4. An Ollamh knows when you've experienced them and when you have not. The Ollamh will most likely never let on that s/he knows because it is the role of the Ollamh to guide, but not necessarily to force experiences on the clan. 5. Often the Ollamh stands alone and misunderstood. The Ollamh knows this is his/her burden, as the clan will not understand. The Ollamh is resolved within their own knowledge. 6. The clan will always question the Ollamh and only when gifted with proof in hand will the doubting clan understand a little more. 7. And, when the proof in hand arrives... then they'll call it magick. Or, perhaps, they'll call it evil. They'll categorize it when really it is just the flow of water. 8. If we were to say that we would never acknowledge the existence of rape in this world, never give any thought to it and only focus on consensual sex. Is it naive to think that rape would never happen to any within our clan? The Ollamh knows there is both light and dark beings and even if no energies are given to either... like the air we breath, both will find their way into our very beings... into our lives. But, the Ollamh will undoubtedly let each clan member discover their own truth as their own path dictates. 9. The Ollamh is in a misunderstood, scrutinized, and often thankless position within the clan... and s/he knows it and continues anyhow because the Sidhe require it... not request it... they comand it. 10. The Ollamh helps the clan align with the most enlightened beings through prayer/ritual/trance/etc.... because the Ollamh knows that just as in real life we all try to make friends and develop relationships with the nice people/ancestors/Faery. It is the healthy thing to do, but certainly does not negate the existence of that which would harm us. 11. Do you think the Ollamh really questions the existence of coincidences? |

MUIN BO FINN LUNAR VENERATION Facilitated by Mari Alma ni Brigid Everyone take four deep belly breaths to bring your focus here and now. Please join me as we connect via the Starlight Connection by reciting aloud: Please join me by reciting aloud: "Siaga inao gafar" (she-l-ga IN-o GA-farr) (Faery draw near). Open to receive an astral anointing on your brow from me: I bless you with the essence of Brigid's Well Water... May Brigid Bless you with True Vision. Beannacht Nay We offer this incense to Dagda and Tailtiu, the Sidhe who govern this Bo Finn, that it may awaken your memory of us. Beannach Nay. Prepare to offer light with me by offering your light along with me. We offer this light to Dagda and Tailtiu, the Sidhe who govern this Bo Finn, that it may lead you to us. Beannach Nay. Let us open to Muin, (pronounced Mew-in) by toning it 11 times. Begin NOW. Now we prepare for our Glamoury for the Muin Bo Finn. We will go to the following webpage. I will beep you when it’s time to return. At this page, meditate on your connection to our Beloved Community and open to receive a blessing from Brigid at Her Altar -- Http://www.faeryfaith.org/faith.html Go Now. Brigid has asked me to tell you that "Everything will work out just as it is supposed to." Tarryn, will you share your blessings from Brigid? Having Brigid tell me that everything would work out the way it was supposed to was comforting to me tonight. I have things on my mind concerning my daughter, so I'm sure it will all be ok now. Maeve... I hope you'll share that story that's unfolding in your dreams when you are able... when it's complete. It sounds very interesting. Thank you, everyone. Beannacht Nay Now we are ready for our Faery Glamoury for this Muin Bo Finn. Just as we have sacred trees, we have sacred animals. The sacred animal that corresponds to Vine is the Swan. These graceful and elegant birds the swan seems to glide through the water leaving hardly a ripple behind. Its persuasive beauty reminds us to move gently through the currents of life and not battle them The swan is the scared animal that teaches us grace through movement and longevity through inner knowledge. When we look upon the swan it invokes a feeling of tranquility in us and reminds us to experience the beauty and magic of life. As you begin to realize your own true beauty, you unfold the ability to bridge new realms and new powers. Swan can show you the inner beauty within yourself and in others. Swan heralds a time of altered states of awareness and the development of intuitive abilities. Swan gives you the ability to see the future, and to accept the healing and transformation that is beginning in their lives. Pay attention to your hunches and inner knowledge, The Swan's call teaches the mysteries of song and poetry, for these touch the child and the beauty within. Open to receive any wisdom from Swan or Vine. Tarryn.. did you receive any Swan wisdom? Maeve... did you receive Swan wisdom? My wisdom was to 'enjoy and be light hearted'. I have a very strong tendency to be serious minded about most everything. Swan's wisdom was a good reminder not to be so serious! Thank you for sharing everyone. Beannacht Nay. Part of the glamoury for Muin can be done after the ceremony while you are still in sacred space. Here are the directions to make an Origami Swan to use as a reminder of the Muin Wisdom of tonight. If you don’t have Origami paper, I think regular computer paper will work or I can send you a sheet of paper in the mail and you can make the Swan later. Here we go with the directions... 1. Begin by placing a square piece of paper facedown and folding the top left point down to meet the bottom right point, forming two equal triangular halves. Crease and unfold. 2. Fold the left edge into the center of the square and crease. Repeat for the right edge. At this time, your piece of paper should resemble an elongated diamond. 3. Turn the piece of paper over. Again fold the left edge over to the center crease, and repeat with the right edge. Crease both sides. Your paper should resemble an even slimmer elongated diamond. 4. Fold the bottom point of the diamond up to meet the top point and crease. This folded-over portion of the paper will comprise the swan's head and neck. 5. Create the swan's head by folding down the top area of the section folded in the previous step. Fold down and crease no more than 1/4 of this section to keep the swan's head small and its neck long. 6. Fold the entire piece of paper in half underneath itself along its original central crease, and flatten the paper. 7. Bring your origami swan to life by gently pulling the swan's neck and head into an upright position. We have now come to the end of our Glamoury on this Bo Finn night and as such it is time to give thanks. We give thanks to Dagda and Tailtiu for encompassing this ceremony with their presence on this Muin Bo Finn. We give thanks to the energies of Muin and the Sacred Vine on this Bo Finn night. We stand connected, as always, for when we are truly in the center of stillness, we are at our most connected and in tune, harmonized, peacefully… perfectly. Beannacht Nay. Everyone, please join me as we close our sacred space by reciting aloud Earth, Air, Fire, Water – the circle has been made clear. Above, Below Return again to the center of stillness. May the power Muin – Vine go with you Beannacht Nay. Please repeat after me, physically motioning to each direction This Vine Bo Finn comes to an end. Deep peace and blessings to each one of you. Thank you for joining me and I hope to see you at the next Bo Finn. Thank you both.... was a pleasure being with you both tonight. Good night.
